Increase your Ficihp touch keyboard typing speed with tips
Touch typing has become an essential life skill that the sooner you master it the better you will get as the year passes. But many people, including myself, have learned to touch-type on their own, so they lack the knowledge of the basic keyboard skills needed to type fast.
This article is aimed at you and people like me who have learned to type fast after years of practice without any “real” instructions.
1: Using all ten fingers
One of the first things typing tutors touch is how to use ten fingers. Basically, you have to place your left-hand fingers A, S, D, F, and thumb in the space bar then your right-hand fingers in L, K, J, H, and thumb space bar. The “stance” of this suggested finger should start typing with your ten fingers.
2: Not looking
The less you look at your Ficihp Touch Keyboard the faster you type. You should know where all the characters on your keyboard are by now so try not to look at your keyboard just when typing focus on the screen. The less you see, the faster you become.
3: Hold your hand
Try to keep your hand covered with a piece of a cardboard box to avoid looking at the hook from tip number 2 when typing 2. I learned this from an English-type touch typing tutor aimed at all ages. More on that later.
Get a text from a magazine, newspaper, or something you like covered with your hands and copy it. Practice this several times a week and you will notice that each time you get it done a little faster.
4: No Search2
Using the same principles as tips 2 and 3, put your hands over your head and get a printed text. Now the challenge is to look at the printed document and type. Try testing as soon as you type a paragraph.
Practice this technique again several times a week and try to keep a record of the types. The goal is to get zero typos as you progress and of course, increase your speed.
I like to give myself time when I do it.
5: Games
Computer games are a fun way to increase your speed. There are specific games from Typing Tutor that are specially designed to help people increase their typing speed. But simple computer games also help because you have to use a certain key and you can’t look at the Ficihp Keyboard otherwise you get shot, crash, or lose the game you’re playing. Although for most games you only need to use a set of keys, they help you memorize their locations.
6: Tutor
Consider using a touch typing tutor. Nowadays you can find tutors of different ages. I mentioned English type before and it is a good example of software for different age groups. It has a junior and senior version; Each version has a different set of words, text, and games.
7: Speed boosters
These programs help you identify your slowest keys and focus on them for further practice as well as teach you how character combinations can speed you up.
That’s all for now. Follow these tips and you will become a touch typist in no time.
Touch typing is an essential life skill that must be learned as soon as possible.
